Dr. Louis Anthony Cancellaro, 79, of Johnson City died at his residence on Wednesday, August 14, 2013.
He was a native of New York, New York, son of the late William and Antoinette Costa Cancellaro. Louis was a retired Chief of Staff at the James H. Quillen Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center. He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Louis was also a member of the Parrish Council, the American College of Psychiatry, Southern Medical Association, and Southern Psychiatric Association. In addition to his parents his special aunt Nettie Cancellaro preceded him in death.
Survivors include: his wife Judy Poe Cancellaro of the home: three sons and daughters-in-law, Vito and Tara Cancellaro, of Greer, SC, Henry and Jennifer Cancellaro, of Scottsdale, AZ and Luigi and Kelma Cancellaro, of Naples, FL; a daughter and son-in-law, Antoinette Cancellaro and Jordan Durant, of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Julia, Cecilia, Lydia and Bianca Cancellaro.
A mass will be conducted on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church under the direction of Father Peter Iorio. Honorary pallbearers will be: Dr. Phil Bagnell, Judge Peter Behuniak, Mr. Douglas Taylor, Dr. Martin Eason, Vincenzo Vissochi and Dr. Rod Bosca.
