Dortha Peterson, JOHNSON CITY

Dortha Peterson, 86, Johnson City, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 11, 2013, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
She was born in Washington County, Tennessee, and lived in this area all of her life. She was a homemaker, loving wife and mother.
She was the daughter of Frank and Nancy Allen. She was the loving wife for 60 years to the late Ray J. Peterson.
She leaves behind two daughters, Linda Rader and her husband, Don Rader of Johnson City, and Anita Pritchard of Gray; a grand-daughter Malissa Rader Hammitt and her husband Kenny of Johnson City, and a beloved great grand-daughter, Zoey Raeanne Hammitt, Also a favorite nephew, Frank Campbell.
She also leaves behind a special companion and faithful friend for 23 years, her loving cat, Sebastian. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Washington County Memory Gardens on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 2:00PM. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the cemetery by 1:50PM on Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Don Rader, Kenny Hammitt, Troy Scalf, and Gary Pittman.
