Jean Hartgrove, KINGSPORT

Annie Ima Jean Hartgrove, 73, of Kingsport, left this earth to join her Savior on Friday, August 9, 2013, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport.
She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and a long time active member of Midfield Freewill Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday school, Bible school and been active in the Ladies Auxiliary.
Her favorite times were those she spent surrounded by her family and times spent with her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Don Hartgrove, in 1997; by her parents, Ray Crawford and Grace Jones Lawson; and by a brother, Charles Crawford.
She is survived by two sons, Jesse Hartgrove & wife, Cynthia, of Kingsport, Nathan Hartgrove & wife Laura, of Jonesborough; sisters, Priscilla Byrd and Joyce (Wayne) Beard; grandchildren, Rachel, Josh & wife, Sebrina, Hannah, Matthew and Austin; great grandchildren, Emma and Lily; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Melissa, Jamie, Michael, Bryan, Brent, Billie Jean and Tracy.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2013, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga St., Kingsport.
A funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Adam Miller, Pastor Jesse Hartgrove, Pastor Kevin Rose, officiating. Music will be provided by Kevin Rose, Austin & Matthew Hartgrove.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Oak Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport, with Bro. Billy Gragg and Bro. Ed Maynard officiating. Pallbearers will be Bruce McMillan, Jim Darter, Ralph Webb, Don Conners, Andy Eidson and Charles Murrell. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession.
