Bill Johnston, JOHNSON CITY

Bill B. Johnston, 89, Johnson City, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013, at Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Greeneville, he was born February 2, 1924, the son of the late Bryan and Gladys Johnston. Bill served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Charlotte J. Fortune.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Hellen Johnston; a special nephew, Bryan Fortune; brother and sisters in-law, Fredia and Gene Proffit, Sue and Jim Norton, and Don and Vickie Keller. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 11, 2013, at 2:00 PM in the Sunset Chapel of Tetrick Funeral & Cremation Services, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until the service hour. Mr. Jim Brown will be officiating.
A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2013, at 3:00 PM at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Shenandoah Presbyterian Church, 1238 Milligan Highway, Johnson City, TN 37601.
