Harriett Marie Williams, JOHNSON CITY

Harriett Marie Williams, age 68, of 116 Frank T. William Lane, Johnson City, TN 37601, passed away at home on the evening of July 31, 2013, after a battle with cancer.
She was the daughter of Frank T. and Dorothy Lou Knight Williams, and she was preceded in death by her father.
Harriett was a proud member of the 1963 graduating class of University High School, and acted as the coordinator of class reunions.
She enjoyed country line dancing and was an avid ETSU Buccaneer Basketball fan for many years. She retired from ETSU after 25 years of service. Harriett also enjoyed genealogy research.
She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Lou Knight Williams; a brother, Frank Q. Williams and wife, Dee; a sister, Melissa Noble; nephews, Gordon and Varinka Williams and Kevin Williams; nieces, Kelly Geer and Sara Ford; great nieces, Monike, Grizel, Katherine and Natalia Williams, Chanler Geer; great nephew, Jalen Geer.
There will be a visitation for Mrs. Williams on Sunday, August 4, 2013, from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. at the residence, 116 Frank T. Williams Lane, Johnson City, 37601.
The family would like to thank all who were helpful with Harriett’s care over the past few months. Especially Harriett’s good friends, Diane Start and Paula Pickle and Amedysis hospice.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
