William A. "Red" Lawson, KINGSPORT

William Allen “Red” Lawson, 67, of Kingsport, a born again Christian, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, July 19, 2013. Born in Kingsport on March 17, 1946, son of the late WG and Dewey Pearl Hicks Lawson, he had resided in this area his entire life.
He was the owner/operator of Lawson Roofing and Remodeling for many years. Red was a Little League team coach for the “Livesay Builders” who went to the state championships. He was an avid fox hunter. Red was a member of Grassy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. With deep appreciation to Pastor Teddy Webb and church from the Lawson family for all the years of devoted prayer that his soul was saved on November 5, 2010.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant sister, Mary Elizabeth Lawson, several aunts and uncles, and his grandparents.
Red is survived by his wife of 25 years, Nona Lawson, of the home; children, Rena Lawson Ratliff of Kingsport, Kenneth Allen Lawson and wife, Neeica of Kingsport, and Marty and Randy Jones, both of the home; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Michael Bledsoe, Bradley Allen Bledsoe and wife, Heather, Brock Allen Lawson and wife, Jessica, Mike Bombailey and Hunter Stapleton; three great-grandchildren, Megan Paige Bledsoe, William Tyler Bledsoe, and Kayley Bombailey; brother, Randall Michael Lawson of Kingsport; niece, Trish Cradic and husband, Donnie; two nephews, Michael Lee Lawson and Chance Lawson; and two great-nephews, Alex Lawson and Christian Lawson.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 pm with Pastor Paul Reagan officiating. Music will be by the Heavenly Reflections with a special song by Trish Cradic.
Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, at 11:00 am at Grassy Creek Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Rogersville, TN with Pastor Teddy Webb officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the Funeral Home by 10:00 am Wednesday and then proceed to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Crawford, Bradley Bledsoe, Randy Jones, Donnie Cradic, Gordon Sexton, Sam Stapleton, George Lawson, Eddie Hicks and Terry Crawford.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dempsey Light, G.W. Ward and Bill Lawson.
