Patsy Hale, ELIZABETHTON

Heaven’s Angels came and took Ms. Patsy Garland Hale, 79, of Elizabethton, away on Monday, July 22, 2013 from the residence of her daughter, with her family by her side.
She was a born in Washington County, Tennessee to the late Clifford Green and Augusta Hyatt Green Burton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Garland; her second husband, Carl Hale, Sr.; three sisters, Hazel Wilson, Mary Hale and Nancy Burton; one brother, Bobby Green; and a daughter, Nora Hoilman.
Mrs. Hale had worked as a housekeeper at the Johnson City Medical Center and was a charter member of Deliverance Church of God.
Survivors include four sons, Charles Garland, Johnson City; Robert “Butch” Garland and wife Debbie, Jonesborough; Clifford “Dickey” Garland and wife Karen, Elizabethton; and Mickey Garland and wife Dawn, St. Petersburg, FL; one daughter, Kathy Fagan and husband Darrell, Elizabethton; one step son, Carl Hale, Jr., Johnson City; one sister, Betty Stalcup and husband John, Johnson City; one brother, Kenneth Richards and wife Mary, Nashville; fourteen grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends also survive.
The funeral service for Mrs. Hale will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Brother Hobert Bradshaw, Rev. Bill Greer, and Rev. Terry Jones, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Brianna and Shannon, grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Wednesday; or at the residence at anytime.
The graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 25, 2013 in the Garland Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Caris Hospice for all their love and hard work, shown to Mrs. Hale during her illness; also a special thank you to Shannon and Raquel Hoilman for the loving care they gave to Mamaw.
