Justin Harrison, JOHNSON CITY

Justin Charles Fleming Harrison, 33, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Born on October 27, 1979, he is the son of Charles and Sherry Fleming Harrison, Johnson City.
Justin was a 1999 graduate of Science Hill High School. Justin was employed as a Life Guard with Johnson City Parks & Recreation at Liberty Bell and Legion Street Pools for several years and briefly worked in the kitchens of local restaurants.
He loved animals, painting and drawing, cooking, music and movies and collecting knives which was a lifelong fascination.
Justin is preceded in death by Grandfather, Charlie Fleming, of Bluff City; Grandfather, Si Harrison, and Grandmother, Mildred Harrison, of Erwin.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include a sister, Sophia Harrison, Zürich, Switzerland; two nieces, Helena and Lea Harrison, Zürich, Switzerland; Grandmother, Evelyn Fleming, Bluff City; an aunt, Jennie Harrison, Erwin; and uncle, Robert Harrison, Johnson City; great aunt, Mary Don Carrier, Bluff City; God parents, Linda & Ned Sanders, Greeneville; and childhood friends; numerous cousins and a beloved dog named, Reggie, who he rescued in 2006.
A special thank you is extended to the staff of Johnson City Medical Center, floor 2500, who worked diligently with Justin. Special recognition to Dr. Woodward and his Blue Code Team, to Bethany Millsaps, his personal nurse in ICU, and to an angel by the name of Shelley Gasser, the soft spoken Chaplain who comforted us and prayed with us in those last hours.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at 6:00 PM in the Sunset Chapel of Tetrick Funeral & Cremation Services, Johnson City.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until the service hour at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Washington County-Johnson City Animal Shelter, 525 Sells Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37604.
