Marvin D. Bunker, 72, Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at his residence.
He was a native of Johnsville, OH, and the son of the late Rolen and Clarice Clark Bunker. He was an avid University of Tennessee and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Mr. Bunker graduated from Johnsville High School in 1959. He worked at ITT North Electric in Galion, OH, and Johnson City, TN, also at Jarl Ext. in Elizabethton, TN, and Stewart Warner in Johnson City, TN.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joanna Manning Bunker; two brothers, Kenneth and Lowell Bunker; and one sister, Cleo Kitch.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Cheri Forney and husband, Dwayne, Jonesborough; a son, Stewart Bunker and wife, Robyn, Taunton, MA; four grandchildren, Evan Bunker, Johnson City, Tara Bolerjack and husband, Andy, Mt. Vernon, OH, Ella Bunker and Peyton Bunker, Taunton, MA.; a God daughter, Niki Judy, Pawleys Island, SC; brothers, Harold Clark, Indianapolis, IN, Nolen Bunker and wife, Helena, Mansfield, OH, Keith Bunker and wife, Laverne, of Mansfield, OH; sisters, Shirley Rhea, Mansfield, OH, Gladys Montgomery and husband, Larry, Marion, OH, Maxine Bunker, Mt. Gilead, OH, Mildred Carter, Stuart, FL; two special aunts, Pat Fisher and husband, John, Galion, OH, and Bea Monroe, Venice, FL.
Funeral services for Marvin Bunker will be held at Snyder’s Funeral Home in Mount Gilead, OH, on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 4:00 PM.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
Graveside services will be held immediately following the service at Stantontown Cemetery in Marengo, OH.
