Mary Nell Huffman, 63, Elizabethton passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at her residence.
A native of Sullivan County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Glenn and Leona Jones Huffman. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was employed at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center for 17 years retiring in 2004.
Mary was a member of the Elizabethton Alliance Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a Grandson: Scotty Lynn Perry, II and four brothers: Glenn Huffman, Jr., Howell Huffman, Donald Huffman and Glenn W. Huffman.
Survivors include Two Sons: Scott Perry and David Hoss, both of Elizabethton. Three Grandchildren: Aiden Hoss, Kayla Kelliaher and Joanie Allison Perry. Two Great Grandchildren: Austin Stines and Kennedy Gardner. Five Sisters: Shirley Carr, Jane Clark and Jewell Fox all of Elizabethton, Polly Leonard and Maude Boone both of Bristol, Tenn. One Brother: Jimmy Huffman, Bluff City. Several Nieces & Nephews. Two Special Sisters-In-Law: Kathy Huffman and Helen Huffman. Her special friends: Patricia Maddox, Rachel Bunton and Wilhelmina “Tete” Turner.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Luis O’Bourke officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013 in the Jones Cemetery, Bluff City. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday will be: Matt Carr, Randy Carr, Brian Leonard, Phil Leonard, Jimmy Huffman, Johnny Huffman, Rusty Huffman and Shannon Burchett. Honorary Pallbearers will be her Co-Workers at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a sister: Jane Clark, Elizabethton. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday to go to the cemetery.
