Larry Ratliff, JOHNSON CITY

Larry Ratliff, 58, of Johnson City, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013, at his home.
Larry was a lifelong resident of Washington County and was the son of the late Oliver and Winnie Ratliff, of Jonesborough. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Ratliff and J.W. Ratliff.
He served as a Master Sergeant for the U.S. Army from June 1973 to July 1994. He served through Desert Storm.
Larry loved the outdoors. He enjoyed traveling and enjoyed his life to the fullest. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of 16 years. He was a caring and loving father, brother and friend.
Survivors include his wife, Penny Ratliff, of Johnson City; two daughters, Amanda and husband, William Parks, of Jonesborough, Lisa and husband, Orlando Galvez, of California; one son, Daniel Ratliff, of Texas; three sisters, Peggy and husband, Carlos Hogland, Linda and husband, Raymond Rice, and Charlene and husband, Gerald Price, all of Jonesborough; one brother, Jack and wife, Debbie Ratliff, of Jonesborough; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at 2:30 PM at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Johnson City.
Family and friends are asked to meet at Tetrick Funeral & Cremation Services, Johnson City, at 1:45 PM to follow in precession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Ratliff, Michael Ratliff, Steve Rice, Johnny Parks, Tom Justice and Bud Fellers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Road, Johnson City, TN 37601.
