Patricia Lee Combs Smith, BRISTOL, Va.

Patricia Lee Combs Smith, 75, of Bristol, VA, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at her daughter’s residence, Harbor Point Drive, Johnson City, Tennessee, following an extended illness.
She was born in Bristol, VA, on March 13, 1938, the daughter of the late Paul Eugene Combs and Georgia Lee Hawks Combs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Billy W. Smith Jr.; and brothers, Tommy Combs and Ronnie Combs.
She was retired from Bristol Compressors and a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, Bristol, TN.
She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Patricia is survived by her daughters, Terry Whitson and husband, Eddie, and Sharon Mumpower and husband, Larry; brother, Paul E. Combs Jr. and wife, Catherine; sisters, Linda Wise and husband, Hugh, and Judy Simcox; grandchildren, Jeremy Whitson, Andrew Whitson and wife, Maggie, Justin Faulkner and girlfriend, Sally Kilgore, and Billy Faulkner and fiancé, Brooke McCarter; step grandchildren, Shannon Leonard and Michael Mumpower; great grandchildren, Scyeria Faulkner, Lucas Faulkner, Laina Faulkner, Avery Whitson and Braedy McCarter Faulkner; several step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special nephew, Mark Simcox.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Jeffrey Ginther, Dr. Sue Prill, Wellmont Hospice, and especially Nina, Iva, Robin, Josie and Laura for their loving care during Patricia’s illness.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2013, at Calvary Baptist Church, 5825 Old Jonesboro Rd., Bristol, TN.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted following the visitation at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Randall Morton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Bristol Humane Society, 6 6th St., Bristol, TN.
