Joann Nidiffer, 69, of Watauga, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2013, at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late Albert Bush and Edith Lucille Nidiffer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Clint Jason Donald Paul, in 2007.
Ms. Nidiffer was retired from Lakebridge Health Care Center of Johnson City as an LPN. She attended Pleasant Beach Baptist Church and loved gardening, reading, cooking and her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Debra Wilkerson and husband, Lee, Erwin; two sons, Billy G. Smith Jr. and wife, Bonnie, Knoxville, TN, and Randy Smith and wife, Deborah, Mountain City, TN; grandchildren, Clint and Cody Barrett, Sean, Ryan, Ashley, Jessica Lael, Travis Lael, and Matthew Smith; great grandchildren, Noah, Elizabeth and Aryana Barrett; a sister, Wanda Stanley, Elizabethton; a brother, Wayne Nidiffer and wife, Barbara, Watauga; and special friends, Barbara Carr and Claudia Sneed. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Ms. Nidiffer will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 5, 2013, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Steven Davis, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Friday. Music will be under the direction of Teresa Range and Rhonda McKinney.
The entombment service will follow in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Clint Barrett, Cody Barrett, Lee Wilkerson, Bobby Elliott, A.J. Nidiffer and Matthew Smith.
