Carrie Butler, JOHNSON CITY

Carrie L. Butler, age 89, of Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Lakebridge Healthcare following a brief illness.
A native of Roan Mountain, she was the daughter of the late David and Ethel Garland Hughes. Mrs. Butler had previously worked at Westinghouse and at Texas Instruments. She also was a beautician. Mrs. Butler was of the Baptist Faith.
She was a great mother and will be greatly missed by her family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by a son, Norman Butler; and an infant daughter, Carolyn Butler; five brothers, Bob, George, Holden, Ernest and Howard Hughes.
Survivors include her daughter, Jamie Conley and husband, Ernie, Pennsylvania; a son, David Butler, Johnson City; granddaughter, Lisa Aguilar, England. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to Amedysis Hospice for their fantastic care of Mrs. Butler and to Louise Butler.
