Martha Pate, ERWIN

Martha Ann Huskins Pate, age 54, of Erwin, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Born on September 3, 1958, in Unicoi County, she was a daughter of the late Paul W. and Judy Paulsen Huskins. She attended Erwin First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael and Terry Huskins; and father-in-law, John Pate.
Survivors include: Husband: John R. Pate; Sons: Johnathan Huskins and wife, Amy, Tyler Pate; Brother: Gary Huskins; Granddaughter: Keri Huskins; Mother-in-Law: Anna Pate; Sister-in-Law: Kim Ledford and husband, Chris, Darlene Pate and Mike Gillen; Brothers-in-Law: Ronnie and Shelley Pate; Nieces and Nephews: Elizabeth Huskins and Chris Ledford, Robert Huskins, Charlie Foster and his wife, Kayla, Darren Ledford, Michael Gillen II; Great Nieces and Nephews: Gavin, Alyssa Foster and Jasmine Huskins; Special Family: Bryan and Teresa Stoots, Orlando and his wife, Kay Ledford, Johnny and his wife, Shawn Kenny; Special Friends: Dinah and husband, George Riddle, Tammy Wells, Gay and husband, Runt Whitson, Brenda and husband, Danny Nelson, Robin Strickland, and many others.
The life of Martha A. Pate will be remembered and honored in a funeral service to be at 8:00 PM Friday, June 28, 2013, in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Charlie Foster and Rev. Earl Ragland will officiate. Vocal selections will be provided by Larry Pate and by Greg Lynch.
Selection for pallbearers will be Johnathan Huskins, Christopher Ledford, Charlie Foster, Darren Ledford, Chris Ledford, Johnny Kenny, Jordan Hyder and Jared Tipton.
A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 6:00 until service time on Friday.
A committal service will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Evergreen Cemetery. Those attending are asked to meet at 11:00 at Valley Funeral Home to go in procession to the cemetery on Saturday.
The family would like to send a special “Thank You” to the nurses and other medical staff on 2300 and ICU at the JCMCH.
