Cynthia Rachel Williams, 56, of Jonesborough, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
She was a native of Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Helen Marie Hamby LaRue and Martin E. LaRue.
Cynthia was a homemaker and member of the East Watauga Avenue Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and singing Bluegrass and Gospel music.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Irene LaRue; and stepson, Joshua Lee Williams.
Survivors include: her husband, Ronald Williams, of the home; her father, Martin LaRue, of Johnson City; a son and daughter-in-law, Otto and Crystal Ukele, of Kingsport; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Geoffrey Miller, of Johnson City; two brothers, David LaRue, of Maumee, OH, and Mark LaRue, of Johnson City; seven grandchildren, Carla, Tyler, Sydnee, Andrew, Caitlin, Elisha and Jacoby.
A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, June 24, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Washington County Memory Gardens under the direction of Rev. Mike Dickenson.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 1:30 p.m. at Morris-Baker Funeral Home, then leave in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
