Mark Broyles, ELIZABETHTON

Mark Mitchell Broyles, 56, of Elizabethton, TN, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013, in the Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was a native of Washington County and the son of the late Clyde Earnest Broyles Jr. and Sue Mitchell Broyles.
Mr. Broyles was retired from the State of Tennessee, Human Services department. He was a member of First Christian Church in Elizabethton, where he taught Sunday School Class for twenty years. He was a graduate of Elizabethton High School and graduated Milligan College with a BS in Business and was also a graduate of ETSU with a Master’s in Education.
Survivors include one brother, Tim Broyles and wife, Janie, of Elizabethton; two nephews, Mitch Broyles and Luke Broyles, both of Elizabethton; and his partner of eighteen years, Errin Christensen, of the home.
A gathering of remembrance service for Mr. Broyles will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2013, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Mr. Brent Nidiffer, Minister, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel prior to the service on Saturday.
Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of the State of Tennessee Human Services Department, members of First Christian Church of Elizabethton, Stan Widner, John Malone, Reverend Don Steele, Kenneth Tony Hedrick and all his many friends.
