Opal Mazza, FAIRLAWN, Ohio

Opal Mazza, 96, passed away on June 14, 2013, at St. Edward’s Nursing Home.
Preceded in death by her husband, James A. Mazza, she is survived by her son, James A. Mazza Jr.; daughter, Kristine M. Whiteley; granddaughter, Elizabeth DeLuca; and great-granddaughter, Sarah DeLuca. She will also be mourned by her son-in-law, James Whiteley; daughter-in-law, Mary Bruce Mazza, Michael DeLuca, and her many relatives and friends.
Mrs. Mazza was born in Oklahoma City, Okla., in 1917 and spent her adult life living in Oklahoma, West Virginia, and Ohio. Always an avid crafter, Mrs. Mazza gave over 9,000 hours of volunteer service to the Service Guild at St. Edward’s Nursing Home. She was an active member of St. Hilary Catholic Church.
Her family would like to thank the entire staff of St. Edward’s for their loving care during Mrs. Mazza’s stay.
A private service will be for family.
