Bobby "Bob" McCracken, ROGERSVILLE

Bobby “Bob” McCracken, age 77, of Rogersville, passed away, Monday, August 6, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. McCracken graduated from Washington College Academy and East Tennesse State University. He was retired from Home Federal Savings & Loan Association and Citizens Bank of East Tennessee. He also held his real estate license in Tennessee.
He was a member and treasurer of Rogersville United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army. Bob was a 50-year member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 692, a charter member of the Rogersville Optimist Club, a member of the Optimist Club of Johnson City and the founder of the Rogersville Heritage Association. He was also a member of the American Legion, Kiwanis Club and AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association).
Bob loved spending time with his family and friends and looked forward to sharing jokes and funny stories. He always had a smile on his face, loved life and enjoyed getting laughs from his friends. Bob loved his church and visited daily for his cup of coffee and fellowship with the staff. He loved his horses and attended shows beginning with local shows and also showing at the Quarter Horse Congress and the World Show. Bob really enjoyed visiting with his show circuit family.
Mr. McCracken was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Doris Teague McCracken.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Shirley Keefauver McCracken; daughters, Lisa Feathers and husband, Jeff, of Unicoi, Robyn Jones and husband, Tommy, of Fall Branch, Candy Gorman and husband, Don; granddaughters, Miranda Qualls and husband, Eric, and Cristy Hill, all of Rogersville, Madisyn Jones, of Fall Branch; two great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Rogersville First United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Rogersville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Gerald Jones and Rev. Andy Willis officiating.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 10, 2012, in Monte Vista Burial Park, Johnson City, with military honors provided by the Hawkins County Color Guard and Tennessee Army National Guard. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 P.M.
