Timothy Lee Yelton, JOHNSON CITY

Timothy Lee Yelton, 46, Johnson City, entered into rest, Sunday, August 5, 2012, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Tim was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City.
He was the son of Jimmy L. and Pat Mullins Yelton, Johnson City, a graduate of Daniel Boone High School and a member of the Daniel Boone ROTC.
Tim had been employed by Wal-Mart for fourteen years.
He was a member of East Pine Grove Park United Methodist Church and the Jubilee Rock Church.
Tim loved music and fine arts. He also collected church bulletins and other religious literature and distributed them to colleagues at his workplace.
He was a supporter of DAV and a member of the NRA and the American Center for Law and Justice.
Tim supported local fire departments and was passionate about the organ donor program. In addition, he loved animals and enjoyed caring for injured and ill animals.
In addition to his parents, he leaves special uncles, Lawrence R. Fair, KY, and Glenn Yelton; and many, many cousins, including Stefan Fair, Josh Grooms, Billy Shutts, Shanna Speed, Kevin and Kenny Yelton; aunt, Gloria Mullins, Johnson City; nephews, Samuel Grooms and Justin Grooms; and special great aunt, Marzetta Yelton Ellison.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon Friday, August 10, 2012, until a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m. at Tetrick Funeral and Cremation Services, Johnson City.
Committal services will follow at Washington County Memory Gardens. Reverend Lon Tobin, Jubilee Pastor Carla Jarrett and retired Reverend Roy Cooper will officiate. Friends and family members will serve as pallbearers.
There will be a Service of Praise for Tim at Rock Jubilee Church, Thursday, August 9, 2012, at 6 p.m.
