Kathy Bennett, JOHNSON CITY

God saw she was getting tired And a cure was not to be So God put his arms Around her, and whispered “Come with Me.”
Kathy D. Bennett, 59, Johnson City, entered into rest Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Franklin Woods Hospital, Johnson City.
Mrs. Bennett was born in Erwin and had lived most of her life in Johnson City.
She was a daughter of Betty Saleker of Johnson City.
Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Parker and two sisters, Barbara Cummings and Lisa Parker.
She attended Buffalo Valley Christian Church.
Mrs. Bennett enjoyed reading, crafts, gardening and loved all of outdoors and especially animals.
She leaves her husband, Gary Bennett; one son, Matthew Bennett, Piney Flats; one daughter, Morgan Bennett, Johnson City and two brothers, Russell Parker and Chuck Parker both of Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2012 until a Celebration of Life Service at 8 p.m. from the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City. Minister Ryan Allcott will officiate.
Committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Chris Lindsey, Matthew Gobble, Oscar Lucio, Brandon Dugger, D.J. Lowery, Michael Bennett and Terry Bennett.

The family expresses a special thanks to the staff of Franklin Woods Hospital for their loving compassionate care of Mrs. Bennett.
