Robert Leighton Miller Sr., BLUFF CITY

Robert Leighton Miller, Sr. age 84, of Bluff City passed away very peacefully Saturday, June 2, 2012 at his residence after a battle with cancer.
A native of Sullivan County he was a son of the late Edgar Dewey and Maggie Smith Miller. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers, Dana, Sherrill, Wayne, P. H., and William Doris including one infant brother, J.L.; two sisters, Martha Lyons including one infant sister, Oleta. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army during the Korean War and a retired Millwright.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ruth Odum Miller of the home; one daughter, Debbie Parks and husband Bill of Bluff City; one son Robert Miller, Jr. and wife Loretta of Bluff City; one granddaughter Jennifer Estep of Bluff City; two brothers, Marvin Miller and wife Shelby of Oneida, TN and James Miller and wife Mary of Gray, TN. and one sister, Luella Pierce and husband Dayton of Bluff City. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A special thank you to Judy Vines and Nonie Weir with Caris Hospice for all their love and care shown to Mr. Miller.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Monday, June 4, 2012 at Tetrick Funeral Home- Chapel of Peace.
The Graveside Service and Interment will be at 11:00 A. M., Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Sunrise Cemetery, Bluff City with Mr. Kermit Davis, minister officiating. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
