Joan Potter, PINEY FLATS

Joan U. Potter, 75, Piney Flats, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at NHC, Johnson City.
A native of Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Marion Barna Urban. Joan was a member at Oakland Avenue Baptist Church. She worked for Siemens before she retired.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Stanford Potter.
She leaves behind two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia A. and Rick Moffitt, Jonesborough, Joyce A. Potter Renfro and David Renfro, Piney Flats; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Joe Tibaldi, New Jersey; and a brother, John Urban, Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Committal and Interment service for Joan U. Potter will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, June 4, 2012, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Cemetery, Piney Flats, with Chaplain Karen Morris officiating. Everyone is asked to meet the family at the cemetery on Monday at 1:50 PM.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the nurses and staff at NHC, Johnson City, and CARIS Hospice for the care and concern shown to Joan and her family.
