Clifford W. “Cliff” Hagy, 86, Johnson City, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at The Center of Aging and Health, Erwin.
A native of Washington County, he was the son of the late Cleveland Baker Hagy and Josie Mae South Hagy. Mr. Hagy was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during WWII. Cliff was owner/operator of Cliff’s Auto before he retired. He was a member of Downtown Christian Church.
Cliff was known for his kind spirit and generous nature. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Clifford Hagy; brothers: Leighton Hagy, Graham Hagy, Gene Hagy, E. Blair Hagy; and sisters: Rose Hendrix, Mozella Treadway; and special niece: Wanda Williams.
He leaves behind his wife of 60 years Lucille Harris Hagy; daughters, Nancy Howren, Jamie Harris and her husband, Randy, and Teresa Bailey; grandchildren, Brandon Hopson, Andrew Harris, Lacey Harris, Nick Hagy, Kip Hagy, Valerie Martinez, Debbie Clapper, Billy Bailey and Jimmy Bailey; sister, Selma Kate Garland and her husband, J.D.; daughter-in-law, Joan Hagy; and special friends, Jim Foote and Doug Hopson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
A Committal and Interment service for Mr. Cliff Wallace Hagy will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, June 4, 2012, at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Adam Page and Jim Foote officiating. All who wish to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery on Monday at 12:50 PM.
