Published May 31st, 2012 10:10 pm

C. Frank Wright, 72, left his earthly shell in his Jonesborough, Tennessee, home and entered his spiritual body in heaven on May 31, 2012.
Frank was a man who loved the Lord Jesus Christ, his family and friends. All who knew him loved him and his Godly witness.
He was born on December 22, 1939, in Pound, VA. He was the son of the late William Troy “Child” Wright and Belle Maynard Wright and was the grandson of “Devil” John Wright, of the Cumberlands. “Devil” John was noted for bringing outlaws to justice and was noted in textbooks in Wise County, VA.
Frank attended Clinch Valley College and went on to Lincoln Memorial University to graduate with a B.S. in Biology. He worked his way through college by doing construction work during the summer months.
He met the love of his life, Rose Ellen Mayhall Wright, while attending L.M.U. She has lovingly met all of his physical and emotional needs during these last years of their 48 years of marriage. The couple moved to Johnson City to attend E.T.S.U. after they both had taught school in St. Paul, VA, and Ervington High School. He received his Master’s Degree in Education at E.T.S.U.
He was a supervisor in the Teachers’ Corps. Frank was vice principal at Jonesborough High School and later was principal at King Springs Elementary School in Johnson City, TN.
After that he sold school supplies, which became his lifelong profession. During this time they started their family.
He enjoyed traveling all over the country with his family. He made yearly fishing trips to the Thunder Bay area of Canada for about 25 years. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He could identify all the trees, insects, birds, fish and plants in the area. He taught his children and grandchildren these skills and to go to church regularly. He taught both Sunday School and discipleship training at Skyline Heights Baptist Church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his aforementioned parents and a sister, Louise Hibbitts.
He is survived by his wife, Rose; and children, Troy Franklin Wright and his spouse, Christa Webb Wright, of Erwin, and Christen Thomas and her spouse, Scott Thomas, of Jonesborough; grandchildren, McKenzie and Gabriel Wright and Kilian, Kyle and Kessa Belle Thomas; brothers, William Wright, of Panhandle, TX, John Wright, of Oregon, Lowell Wright, of Mineral, VA, and Victor Dan Wright, of Reidsville, NC; and a sister, Jackie Stallard, formerly of Exeter, VA.
