Corinne “Aunt Jo” Baker Wilcox, 91, Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday May 30, 2012, in the Hermitage Health Center following an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Hicks and Alice Morris Davis. She was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. Mrs. Wilcox retired from IBM, Green Castle, Indiana, where she had lived for forty years. She returned to Elizabethton a number of years ago.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Herman Baker; and 2nd husband, Fred Wilcox; Five Brothers: Charles, Bill, I.B., Mack and George Davis; and Two Sisters: Juanita Elliott and Viola Sheffield; and a special nephew: Danny Ray Elliott.
Mrs. Wilcox was a member of First Baptist Church, Elizabethton.
Survivors include a Son: Ronnie L. Baker, Fort Worth, Texas; Sister: Velma Elliott; and several Nieces & Nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the Mausoleum of Hope, Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Dennis Wilson officiating.
Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum of Hope. Music will be provided by Leanne Manning, Soloist. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Hermitage Health Center and Dr. Robert Walter for the excellent care she received during her stay there.
Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. Saturday to go to the cemetery.
