Ollie Garrison Jr., ELIZABETHTON

Ollie Garrison Jr., 82, Elizabethton, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012, in the Life Care Center of Elizabethton.
A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Ollie Garrison Sr. and Goldie Williams Garrison. He was a 1949 graduate of Elizabethton High School. In earlier years he worked at Smithdeal’s Supermarket. He moved to Hampton, Virginia where he lived for 40 years before returning to Elizabethton. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Elizabethton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Gladys Roberson Garrison; and his second wife, Mable Garrison; a Son: Terry Allen Garrison; One Brother: William Garrison; and One Sister: Mary May Garrison.
Mr. Garrison was an avid Atlanta Braves Fan.
Survivors include Two Daughters: Pamela Kay Hottin and Robin Lynn Morgan, both of Hampton, Virginia; Two Granddaughters: Angela & Amanda; Four Great Grandchildren; A special friend: Betty Linville.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2012, in the Mausoleum of Peace, Happy Valley Memorial Park, with the Rev. Nevil Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Cemetery.
The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Staff of Life Care Center for the excellent care received.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the 1949 Graduating Class of Elizabethton High School.
Friends may register their presence at the funeral home from 12 Noon Thursday until 5 p.m.
