Lester Perkins Sr., BLUFF CITY

Lester Robert Perkins Sr., 69, of Bluff City, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 20, 2012, at his home.
He was the son of the late Lester Barnes and Agnes Greg Perkins and was born in Roan Mountain. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Perkins.
Mr. Perkins was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked as a mechanic for L & M Equipment.
He is survived by his daughter, Robin Saults and husband, Richie, of Limestone; sons, Lanny Perkins and wife, Tammy, and Rev. Lester Perkins Jr. and wife, Linda, all of Elizabethton; grandchildren, Douglas Allen Perkins, Katie Ann Perkins, Bobby Perkins, Lacey Wilson and husband, Jason, and Seth Aaron Saults; great grandchildren, Lucas Perkins, Hannah Perkins and Sophie Wilson; sisters, Phyllis Perkins, of Roan Mountain, and Burma Birchfield, of Hampton; brother, Donnie Perkins and wife, Shirley, of Roan Mountain. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton.
The graveside service and interment will be conducted on Friday, May 25, at 11:00 AM in Perry Cemetery, Shell Creek community of Roan Mountain. Honorary pallbearer will be Billy Hayes. Those who wish to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 AM.
