Gary Nickles, JOHNSON CITY

Gary Lynn Nickles, age 57, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, May 10, 2012, in Thibodaux, LA.
He was a native of Johnson City and the son of the late Wiley P. Nickles Jr. and Maggie J. Dykes Martin. Mr. Nickles served in the National Guard and the U.S. Army and was a carpenter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack and Katherine (Kate) Morgan Grace and Wiley P. Nickles Sr.; and his maternal grandparents, George E. and Pearl Russell Dykes.
Survivors include his daughters and grandchildren, Christina Nickles and her children, Seth and Lilly; Kim Osborne and her son, Jason; two brothers, Joe (Cheryl) Nickles and Perry (Freda) Nickles; two sisters, Kim Henson and Tammie Wood; a special nephew, Joey (Teresa) Nickles; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and a great aunt, Virginia Hamby.
Inurnment will be in Mountain Home National Cemetery on Friday, May 25, 2012, at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Claude Babb officiating and military honors being presented by the V.F.W Boone Dam Post.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clifton View Baptist Church, ℅ Building Fund, 1507 Orleans Street, Johnson City, TN 37601.
