Published May 19th, 2012 9:41 pm

Patricia Ruth Davis Blevins, 65, Johnson City, was called to her heavenly home Friday, May 18, 2012.
She fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was a lifelong resident of Johnson City and the daughter of the late Aletha and Jessie Davis.
Pat was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a great woman of faith and enjoyed her family and her church. She adored her granddaughters, Mahala and Garyn. She fought her battle tirelessly because of her family. She never laid down to sleep without saying “I’ll see you in the morning or I’ll see you in heaven.”
She was a cosmetologist for over 40 years. Most of her working life was spent at Elite Beauty Shop, where she made lifelong friends.
One of her greatest joys was simply talking with people. Like her father, she never me a stranger. She also worked at Four Oaks Healthcare as a cosmetologist. She loved the elderly and became quite attached to them. She was forever taking them treats, lotions, etc., anything to brighten their day. Many that didn’t have family or couldn’t afford to pay she did for free. That was Pat, a big heart for people.
Pat and her family attended Tri-Cities Church of God in Piney Flats. She liked to collect salt and pepper shakers, camp, play with her grandchildren and spending time with her beloved cat, Max.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aletha and Jessie Davis.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, William “Bill” Carroll Blevins; daughter, Renee and husband, Gary Lewis, of Johnson City; two granddaughters, Mahala and Garyn Lewis; one brother, Norman L.
