Betty McIntosh, ERWIN

Betty McIntosh, age 75, 1821 Zane Whitson Dr. #25, Erwin, TN, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at the Unicoi County Memorial Hospital.
She was a lifelong resident of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Hugh and Mollie Collins Tipton. She attended Pentecostal Holiness Church, Erwin. Ms. McIntosh was a homemaker.
She was a loving, devoted, and high spirited Moma and Mamaw.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband and friend, Tom McIntosh; and four brothers: Bill, Hubert, Ed and Elmer Tipton.
Ms. McIntosh is survived by two sons: Rick McIntosh, Greeneville, and Mike McIntosh, Erwin; four daughters: Teresa Price and husband, David, Debbie Brummitt and husband, Gordon, all of Unicoi, Gloria McIntosh, Erwin, Michelle Bilbrey, Crossville, TN; six grandchildren: Macky Harris, Michael Shane Jenkins, Jake McIntosh, Jaylen McIntosh, Brian Allen and Sky Payne; two great grandchildren: Olivia Joy Jenkins and Callie Allen; one brother, Ernie Tipton, Erwin; two sisters: Lucille Effler and husband, Ronald, and Alice Webster, all of Erwin; two sisters-in-law: Genevieve Tipton and Ida Tipton, both of Erwin. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Betty McIntosh will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Ronnie Holloway will officiate.
Pallbearers selected by the family will be Robbie White, Chase White, Phillip Effler, David Price, Gordon Brummitt and Macky Harris.
The family of Ms. McIntosh will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, prior to the service, between the hours of 5:00-7:00 p.m.
The committal service for Ms. McIntosh will be held Friday, May 11, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the Peterson Cemetery, Unicoi. Those attending the service should meet at the cemetery by 9:45 a.m. Friday.
