Mary Ann Price Wilson, 76, formerly of 909 Bert St., Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Lakebridge Healthcare Center, following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Wilson was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County.
She was a daughter of the late Guy and Jessie Evans Price.
Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.
She loved cooking and baking.
Mrs. Wilson was always putting others before herself, especially her family and friends.
She loved her Lord very much.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Dexter Wilson, in 2010, four brothers, James Price, Walter Price, Billy Dean Price and Paul Price, one sister, Ruth McAmis.
She is survived by five children, Linda Tipton Good and husband Ray, Johnson City, Debbie Brown and husband Dennis, Johnson City, Marion Dexter Wilson, II, and wife Angie, Johnson City, Marvin Wilson and wife Trish, Kingsport, Tammy Ervin and husband Lee, Greeneville; nine grandchildren, Kim Culbertson, Kristie Murray, Dennis Brown, Dexter Wilson, III, Andy Wilson, Marvin Keith Wilson, Austin Wilson, Leigh Ann Purgason and Brian Shell; four great-grandchildren, Morgan Murray, Mallory Murray, Dylan Culbertson and Kingston Shell; sister, Shelby Broyles, Jonesborough; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Lakebridge Healthcare Center for their care, love and support.
The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at 7:00 P.M. from the East Chapel of the Appalachian Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff and Rev. Tony Trott officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home.
The graveside committal service will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ray Good, Dennis Brown, Cliff Culbertson, Bill Murray, Dylan Culbertson and Dennis Brown, II. Those planning to attend are requested to meet at the funeral home Wednesday by 10:30 A.M. to proceed to the cemetery.
