Johnny Frank Younce, 50, 1023 DeJarnette Street, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012, in the Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was a Carter County native. He was a 1980 graduate of Elizabethton High School. Johnny was retired due to disability from the Carter County Highway Department after 25 years of service. He was a member of the East River Park Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Venice Haun Younce.
Survivors include a son: T.J. Morris, Gulf Shores, Alabama; His Mother: Mae Myers Younce, Elizabethton; A brother: Jay Younce, Elizabethton; One Uncle: S.J. Myers, Bluff City; The mother of his child. Wendy Morris.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Tuesday at his residence, 1023 DeJarnette Street, Elizabethton.
The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the 5500 Wing of Johnson City Medical Center and the Fresnius Dialysis Center, Elizabethton, for the excellent care that Johnny received.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 5201 Kingston Pike, Ste. 6-130, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919-5011.
It was his wish to be cremated.
