Robert "Dink" Brock Sr., KINGSPORT

KINGSPORT — Robert “Dink” Brock Sr., age 80 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 20, 2012.
Mr. Brock was born on October 21, 1931, in Scott County, VA, to the late Biege and Ruby Sproles Brock. He was a charter member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Mr. Brock served his country proudly in the United States Army. He retired from the Meade Corporation after 40 plus years of service.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Brock was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Brock; one son, Gerald Brock; three brothers; and 2 sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Teresa Brooks and husband, Jimmy, of Piney Flats, TN; his son, Robert Brock Jr. and wife, Donna, of Kingsport; four grandchildren, Sammy Henry and wife, April, Amanda Reed and husband, Jonathon, Christina Brock and Candra Lane and husband, Adam; five great-grandchildren, Christian Henry, Hailey Reed, Jaiden Henry, Reece Lane and Rylan Reed; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel at Oak Hill Funeral Home on Monday, April 23, 2012, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Paul Becker officiating.
A military entombment service will follow the funeral service in Oak Hill Mausoleum No. 1 at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Military rites will be accorded by Hammond Post #3 and Gate City Post #265 of the American Legion.
