Ruth ‘Eonie’ Masters, Erwin

ERWIN — Ruth Marie “Eonie” Masters, age 83, of Erwin, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012, in the UCMH Long Term Care Unit.
She was a native of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late E. Guy and Maud Williams Robbins. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Ms. Masters was active in the Republican Party of Unicoi County and the Women’s Club. She was also active in the Garden Club while they lived in Umatilla, FL, during the winter months.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Russell O. Moore; and her second husband, Charles D. Masters.
She leaves behind: Son: Russell Moore, of Erwin; Daughter: Mary Gay Engle, her husband, Kim, of Clinton, TN; Two Grandchildren: Jonathan L. Engle, Oak Ridge, TN, M. Alexandra Engle, Oak Ridge, TN; Sister: Carolyn Fowler; Nieces: Julie Kacerguis, Janice Frohman, Jane Harmon; Nephew: Jack Fowler.
A Graveside service for Ms. Masters will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Evergreen Cemetery. Minister William Anderson will officiate. Those attending, please meet at the cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, April 23, 2012, at the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home.
