Jerry Rutledge, Bluff City

BLUFF CITY — Jerry Lynn Rutledge, age 59, of Bluff City, TN, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 24, 1952, to the late King Edward Rutledge and Lydia Harris Rutledge. He had lived in the Bluff City area all of his life and enjoyed working as a farmer and a heavy equipment operator.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Rutledge.
Survivors include: Wife: Eleanor Rutledge; Children: Jeremy Rutledge and wife, Jenny, Alice Rutledge and fiancé, Josh Malone; Grandchildren: Acacia Rutledge, Kaleigh Myer, Payton Rutledge, Lydia Malone; Sister: Lois Ann Thompson; His Blue Heeler Cattle Dog and his buddy: Luke.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, from the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jack Stevens officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 prior to the funeral service.
The interment service and burial will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday at Sunrise Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard May, Ben Rutledge, Larry Charles, Gordon Mills, Michael Galloway and Dustin Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Calandros and Ed Thoma.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 3101 Browns Mill Rd., Suite 6, Johnson City, TN 37604.
