Daniel Leroy, Limestone

Daniel Wayne Leroy, 55, Limestone, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 14, 2012, at his residence.
Daniel was a native of Kingsport and had been a Washington County resident most of his life.
He was formerly self-employed working in maintenance.
Daniel was a Baptist.
He was a collector of Oriental memorabilia, primarily Geishas, swords, Buda’s and mud men.
Daniel enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Tate Leroy, maternal grandmother, Clisty Tate, sister-in-law, Jackie Leroy, niece, Ashland Leroy, and father-in-law, Bobby Jack Thompson.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Rhonda M. Thompson-Leroy; two daughters, Abigail V. Leroy and Autumn C. Thompson, both of the home; one brother, Terry Leroy and fiancée, Nicki Abbey, both of Kingsport; two sisters, Pam Moonie and Karen Meade and husband Ed and their son D.J, all of Kingsport; mother-in-law, Christine Thompson, Limestone; sister-in-law, Vickie R. Malone and husband L.J. and L.J.’s brother Jay Malone, all of Jonesborough; brother-in-law, Bobby M. Thompson and wife Sandi, both of Telford; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. from the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, with Rev. Harold McNabb officiating. Special music will be provided by Donna Sue Casteel and Harold McNabb.
Interment will follow in Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Terry Leroy, Bobby Thompson, David Taylor, Mark Gregory, Chris Hughes and Eddie Dean. Honorary pallbearers will be L.J. and Jay Malone, D.J. Meade and David Casteel.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the East Parlor of the funeral home.
The family requests in-lieu-of flowers, donations be made to the family for future expenses.
