Edward Betz, St. Augustine, Fla.

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Edward Joseph Betz, 92, of St. Augustine and Johnson City, TN, died peacefully surrounded by his family at the Earl B. Hadlow Center for Caring.
He was born and raised in Mansfield, Ohio, before moving to Johnson City 22 years ago. He owned and operated Coleman Heating and Air Conditioning until his retirement.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during WW II, and he also served as a trustee at Woodville Grace Brethren in Mansfield, Ohio.
A military honors committal and memorial service for the family will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, TN, on May 25, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Liselotte “Lie” Betz, Johnson City; children, Susan Morganstern (Timothy), Jonesborough, TN, Nancelie Baker, Charlotte, NC, Melissa Hartley (Mitch), St. Augustine; one brother, Harold Betz, Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Janet Lyons, Winterville, NC, Adeline Gernhardt, Marco Island, FL; 5 grandsons; and 7 great-grandchildren.
