Margaret Johnson, Greeneville

GREENEVILLE — Margaret B. Johnson, 70, 704 Wesley Ave., Apt C, Greeneville, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her family and friends.
Mrs. Johnson was a native of Johnson City and lived most of her adult life in Kingsport before moving to Greeneville in 1992.
She was a daughter of the late John Carter and Venia Lunsford Blevins.
Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a Baptist, having a very strong faith.
She was a very loving woman, who was loved by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, William Argus Johnson, in 1996; a brother, Williams Blevins; a sister, Easter Blevins; and her step-mother, who raised her, Bessie Blevins.
She is survived by two sons, Gale Johnson and wife, Alice, Greeneville, Johnny Johnson and wife, Anne, Newnan, GA; one brother, Vic Blevins and wife, Betty, Norfolk, VA; two sisters, Juanita Miller, Johnson City, Lois Campbell and husband, Junior, Erwin; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The graveside funeral service will be held Friday, April 13, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. in Mountain Home National Cemetery with Rev. Buster Shelton officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those planning to attend are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:30 P.M. Friday to proceed to the cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of Appalachian Funeral Home.
