Eddie Combs, Limestone

Eddie “Buddy” Combs, age 68, of Limestone, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at his home.
Mr. Combs was employed with Lowe’s and was of the Baptist faith.
His family stated that he found much joy in horses and dogs.
He was preceded in death by: parents: Herbert and Rula Combs; grandson: Robby Rowley; 1 brother: Herbert Combs; 5 sisters: Wilma Tester, Francis Guinn, Herbie Johnson, Patsy White, Margie Osborne.
Survivors include: wife of 26 years: Jean Hinkle; one daughter: Stacie Combs, of Ohio; 2 sons: Eddie Combs, of Gray, Jamie Combs, of Jonesborough; 2 stepsons: Shaun and spouse, Laura Hinkle, Chris Hinkle; grandchildren: Neva Rowley, Carissa Combs, Olivia Combs, Jessie Combs, Kassi Combs, Derek Hinkle, Catera Hinkle, Destiney Hinkle and Ian Hinkle; 2 sisters and 1 brother-in-law: Bernice Oxendine, of Roan Mountain, Helen and G.C. Howell, of Columbia, SC; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Ellen and Howard Thompson.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5-8 PM at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 8 PM at Jeffers Funeral Chapel at Afton. Pastor Nick Bailey will officiate.
Graveside services will be held Sunday at GraceLand Memorial Gardens at 3 PM. It is requested that family and friends meet at 2:30 at the funeral home on Sunday to go to the graveside service. Pallbearers will be: Bruce Stafford, Coty Seth, Raymond Cooper, Michael Fitzgerald, Lynn Willis and Wallace Hyton.
