Warren Brandt, Wartburg

WARTBURG — Mr. Warren A. Brandt, 74, formerly of 588 Cripple Creek Road, Watauga, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, in the Life Care Center of Morgan County in Wartburg, TN.
He was the son of the late Walter Eugene and Ivy Belle Foard Brandt and was born in Los Angeles, CA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nikki Ann Brandt, in 2003.
Mr. Brandt was a six-year veteran of the United States Air Force and was a carpenter and cabinet maker. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Lora Denise Davis and her husband, Charles “Chad,” Clinton, TN; and his former wife, Delores Brandt Taylor, Kingsport.
The funeral service for Mr. Brandt will be conducted on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. in the Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, Elizabethton, with Rev. Jim Waddell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel on Saturday prior to the service, or at the home of Lora’s mother, 827 Cobblestone Place, Kingsport, at other times.
The graveside service and interment will be conducted on Monday, April 9, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in the Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, Tennessee. Active pallbearers will be Tex Scalf, Roger Tolley, Verlin Stevens, Charlie Good, Mike Taylor and Joe Curtis. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:15 pm on Monday to go in procession to cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Carter County Honor Guard.
