Donald R. Hodges, Johnson City

Mr. Donald R. Hodges, age 70, of Johnson City, passed away, Saturday, March 31, 2012 in the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Hodges was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. He was the son of the late Albert Lee Hodges and Doris Lucille Adkins Hodges. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife of forty-seven years, Rebecca Ann Hodges; three brothers, Terry Hodges, Robert Hodges and Rodger Hodges; two sisters, Trudy Hodges and Judy Hodges.
Mr. Hodges was a self-employed contractor and he attended Sinking Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one son, Ira Keith Hodges and his wife Judy of Unicoi; one special daughter-in-law, Marietta Hodges of Johnson City; one granddaughter, Jennifer Hodges of Johnson City; special friend, Maybelle Birchfield of Elizabethton.
The funeral service for Mr. Donald R. Hodges will be conducted at 7 PM Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Garry Edwards will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 10 AM Wednesday in the Roselawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 9:15 AM Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday prior to the service.
