Cindy Church, Johnson City

Miss Cindy Church, age 37, 904 Charway Drive, Johnson City, TN passed away Friday March 30, 2012 following an extended illness.
She was born in Jacksonville, NC and resided in Johnson City for most of her life. Cindy was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church, and attended Central Baptist Church, Johnson City. She was a student at ETSU where she was majoring in criminal justice. She was an avid reader and loved trips to the beach for water enjoyment.
Miss Church was preceded in death by her father, Billy Joe Church in 2003.
Survivors include her mother, Wanda Watson Ricker and second father, Tom Ricker, Johnson City; maternal grandmother, Bessie Watson and paternal grandmother, Violet Church, both of Johnson City; step grandmother, Mary Baugues and husband John, Alcoa, TN; three aunts: Marie Bailey and husband Edwin Allen, Erwin; Donna Willis and husband Dennis, Johnson City, and Wendy Blair, Memphis; one uncle, Jim Ricker and wife, Patti, Knoxville and several cousins also survive.
Funeral service for Cindy Church will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 2, 2012 in the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Denny Willis will officiate. Special music will be provided by Inez Chandler. Pallbearers will be Edwin A. Bailey, Tim Willis, Greg Willis, Pete Peterson, Eric Lewis, Scott Carrier, and Tim Bridges and Charles Watson. Interment will be immediately following the funeral service in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, April 2, from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM service time. Those unable to attend Monday’s visitation and funeral service will be able to sign the register book on Sunday, April 1 between the hours of 12:00 - 2:00 PM.
