Mary ‘Ruth’ Britt, Jonesborough

Mary “Ruth” Britt, 65, 2209 Hwy. 81 South, Jonesborough, died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Johnson City medical Center.
Mrs. Britt was a native of Johnson City and a daughter of the late George Woodard and Eulla Kate Busler Tapp.
She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Britt was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Sue Land, and a brother-in-law, Robert Goins.
She is survived by her husband, John Britt, of the home; three sons, Robert Tapp and wife Belinda, Chuckey, John Britt and wife Kim, Jonesborough, and Randall Britt, of the home; one brother, Randy Tapp and wife Mary, Chuckey; four sisters, Penny Tapp and Susan Hopson and husband Bill, all of Greenville, SC, Judy Goins and Debbie McKinney and husband Tommy, all of Johnson City; six grandchildren, Eddie Tapp, Kady Tapp, Danny Webster, Conner Britt, Bethany Britt and Ryan Britt; three great-grandchildren, Ben Ben Tapp, Christopher Charles Tapp and Shane Austin Tapp; several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service celebrating the life of Mrs. Britt will be held Monday, April 2, 2012, at 8:00 P.M. at Second Baptist Church, 1718 Hwy. 81 South, Jonesborough, TN 37659.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
