Helen ‘Jane’ Tilson, Johnson City

Helen “Jane” Tilson, 60, Johnson City, passed away on March 23, 2012, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Ms. Tilson was a native of Johnson City and the daughter of the late Troy Jack and Dale Whistine. She was a 1969 graduate of Science Hill High School, a Certified Nursing Assistant, spending her life caring for others, and a member of Locust Street Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bud and David Whistine; a sister, Becky Lewis; and a granddaughter, Brittney Armstead.
She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Tilson, Jody Tilson and Kim Armstead, all of Johnson City; four brothers, Phil Whistine, Bill Whistine, Pete Whistine and TeeRoy Whistine; three sisters, Sue Tester, Ginny McGee and Gail Whistine; six Grandchildren, Michael McAllister, Nathan Armstead, Halia Tilson, Mikaela McAllister, Elijah Tilson and Johnny Tilson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the family.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Locust Street Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends at 408 East 8th Ave. in Johnson City, TN, at other times.
