Beth McMackin, age 55, of Johnson City, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 5, 2012, at her residence.
A native of Johnson City, she was a son of the late Ed and Catherine Hawkins Bierley. Mrs. McMackin was a landscaper.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Bierley.
Survivors include her husband, Jim McMackin, Johnson City; one brother, Ed Butch Bierley, Lime, Conn.; one sister, Cathy Scott, Morristown, TN; and her beloved dog, Harpo.
A graveside memorial service will be held for Mrs. McMackin at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 12, 2012, at the Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Johnson City/Washington County Animal Shelter Humane Society, 525 Sells Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37604.
Appalachian Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 800 E. Watauga Ave., is serving the McMackin Family.
