Satiro "John" Liafsha, WEST COLUMBIA, S.C.

Satiro E. “John” Liafsha, widower of Pat Brown Liafsha, died Thursday, March 8, 2012.
Born March 22, 1924, in Johnson City, TN, he was the son of the late Euthemio Satiro and Florence Little Liafsha. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He retired from Olympia Schools in 1986 after 32 years of service.
Surviving are his daughters, Satira Liafsha, of Irmo, Jan Liafsha (special friend, Rick Leap), of Charleston, and Lisa Liafsha (Mike Sexton), of Greenville; son, Steve Liafsha, of West Columbia; and five grandchildren, Adam Liafsha Foy, Maia Liafsha Foy, Kaitlyn Liafsha, Hailey Liafsha and Hayden Liafsha.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James Franklin Liafsha.
Burial will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Monte Vista Memorial Gardens in Johnson City, TN.
