Rev. Sidney Glover, 80, Gray, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2012, at the V.A. Medical Center, Mountain Home.
A native of Washington County, he was the son of the late Albert and Blanche Mosier Glover.
He was an active member of the Living Word Church of God, and served as the Outreach minister. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and also served in the Army Reserves.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
He was a wonderful husband, dad and papaw.
Sidney leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Zetta Lloyd Glover; a son, Allen Glover; grandchildren, Jonathan and Allison Glover; two sisters, Norma Poarch and Sharon Warren; and four brothers, Steve Glover, Gene Glover, Keneth Glover and Clyde Glover. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life service for Rev. Sidney Glover will be conducted at 6:00 PM Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Living Word Church of God, 146 Cherry Street, Gray, TN 37615 with Pastor Stephen L. Guinn officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 4:00 PM till the service hour.
A Committal and Interment service will be held at 10:00 AM Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Snowden, Bob Jones, Jack Lang and Martin Stromski, Clay Johnson, and Mark Mack. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery on Sunday at 9:50 AM.
The family would like to thank the V.A. Medical Center nurses and staff for the care given to Rev. Glover.
