Carl Young, Johnson City

Carl Duane Young, 71, 596 Laurels Road, Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012, in the Johnson City Medical Center.
He was a native of Gnadenhutten, Ohio; he had lived in Carter County for the past five years. He retired from Smith & Nephew Medical in 1995 and was employed at Sam’s Club for 14 years. He enjoyed hiking, baseball and football.
Survivors include his wife: Nanette Pierce Young; Two Daughters; Susan Young Mann, Canton, Ohio, and Stephanie Hayder Moses and husband, Fred, Muskegon, Michigan; A Son: Michael Young, Massillon, Ohio; Six Grandchildren; A Brother: Darrell Young, Massillon, Ohio.
A Prayer Service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the family residence, 596 Laurels Road, Johnson City, with Rev. Mark Savell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 4 p.m. Saturday at the residence.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the 2nd Harvest Food Bank, 127 Dillon Court, Gray, Tenn. 37615.
The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Doctors & Nurses at Johnson City Medical Center for all the excellent care that Carl received.
