James ‘Mike’ Caudle, Johnson City

“The Angels in Heaven are rejoicing! The Lord lifted him up in his loving arms and took him home! Praise Be to God! You were a loving, husband, father and grandfather.”
James Michael “Mike” Caudle, 68 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, from his residence surrounded by his loving family.
A native of Washington County, TN, he was the son of the late Homer and Mary Brummitt Caudle. Mike was a member of the Johnson City Masonic Lodge and the First Freewill Baptist Church, Johnson City, TN. He retired from the Johnson City Police Department after serving for 21 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Shirley Mackley Caudle; and a brother, Robert Howard “Dickie” Caudle.
He leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cyndi Butler Caudle; siblings, Elizabeth Ilene Combs and husband, Jim, John Wayne Caudle and wife, Connie, Mary Sue Norman, Wand Lou Cline and husband, Richard, C.W. Caudle and Bud Caudle and wife, Ella; grandson, Cody L. Caudle; granddaughter, Cadie M. Caudle; and special friend, Christina Boston. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life service for Mr. James Michael “Mike” Caudle will be conducted at 7:00 PM Saturday, February 25, 2012, in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services with Reverend Toney Trott and Reverend Kenneth Grindstaff officiating.
The family will greet friends in the funeral home chapel from 5:00 PM till the service hour.
A Committal and Interment service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, February 26, 2012, at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Everyone is asked to meet the family at the cemetery on Sunday at 12:50 PM. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
